Three common positions on road safety

Brussels, 26/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Council has unanimously adopted three common positions on three proposed directives aiming to make the installation of seatbelts in motor vehicles other than private cars obligatory. These legislative proposals modify directives 74/408/EEC (seats and headrests), 77/541/EEC) (seatbelts) and 76/115/EEC (seatbelt anchorage). The common positions have been sent to the EP for second reading (codecision).
