Rocard and McMillan-Scott head missions

Brussels, 07/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - An official EU mission headed by French Socialist Michel Rocard and formed of around 150 observers (some of whom have already been on the ground for a while) is to monitor Palestinian elections on 9 January. An ad hoc delegation of thirty MEPs, chaired by British Conservative Edward McMillan-Scott and co-chaired by Pasqualina Napoletano (PES, Italy) is closely cooperating with the mission.
