21/12/2004 (Agence Europe) - On the fringes of the European Parliament's plenary session last week, the Federalist Intergroup for the European Constitution discussed #Turkey and the Constitution', commenting that the two issues shouldn't be mixed. The Intergroup, chaired by Jo Leinen, also includes Andrew Duff, Monica Frassoni, Alain Lamassoure, Thierry Cornillet, Jean-Luc Dehaene, Carlos Carnero Gonzalez, Mercedes Bresso, Cecilia Malmstrom and Alexander Stubb. It believes that before Turkey and the Balkan States can join the EU, the Constitution will have to be changed.
