02/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - Last Friday, the European Commission decided to authorise the purchase of the Brazilian pork and poultry meat producer Seara Alimentos by the American meat producer Cargill. Both companies export de-boned poultry meat-based products to Europe and the rest of the world, but they will face other major competitors on this market, explained the Commission in justification of its agreement.
