European conferences and seminars in November

"Creating a European network to enhance risk assessments regarding the food chain". This is the official objective for the first public debate on 8 and 9 November in Berlin, where members of the new European Authority will be participating in discussions, together with other health risk management specialists. "Gaining from visions - Cities for a new perspective on social and economic prosperity" is the them of the next Eurocities conference on 10 - 13 November in Vienna. It is expected to discuss the participation of cities in the European social model, as well as their role in the institutional and political dimensions of Europe, with Michael Häupl, Mayor of Vienna, Wolfgang Tiefensee, president of Eurocities and Commissioner Günter Verheugen.
