It is time that "countries that have liberalised were allowed to put into place legislative instruments legislation to defend themselves against countries that have still not liberalised their markets", protested the Italian MEP, who also attacked the: " increasing pressure of foreign banks (...) to increase their presence in Italian credit institutions which is intolerable".
