THE DAY IN POLITICS / (eu) ep/timetable

14/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the European Parliament approved without amendment the timetable of the 2005 sessions as proposed by the outgoing Parliament. This gave rise to anger on the part of Italian Radical Marco Pannella who bemoaned: "It is a non-democratic act. We do not even have the possibility to discuss our places of work". (Ed.: The debate on the dates and location of plenary sessions nearly always causes a row between pro-Strasbourg and pro-Brussels MEPs).
