The British aeronautics and defence group, BAE SYSTEMS, has acquired for the sum of $600 million the US company DIGITALNET HOLDINGS (turnover $292 million in 2003 with 2,200 employed), specialised in the design of secure IT networks mainly for use at the Pentagon.
