New liberalisation plans to be unveiled on 20 September to thaw trade negotiations

Brussels, Brasilia, 13/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Union and Mercosur (Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay) have agreed to swap new proposals on 20 September as part of the process of negotiating a Free Trade and Association Agreement. The proposals are expected to cover sectors each side is unhappy with - farming for the EU and public procurement, telecoms and banking for Mercosur.
