13/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - Following the tragedy in Beslan and on the third anniversary of the September 11 attacks, Secretary General of the Council of Europe Terry Davis expressed support for the initiative taken by the European Parliament to hold a minute's silence in schools at noon on Tuesday 14 September. He urged all 45 Council of Europe member states to take part.
