Commission to lift last specific controls on Brazilian poultry

Brussels, 01/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has just lifted the last veterinary controls applicable since October 2002 on Brazilian poultry and poultry-based products. At the time, the presence of nitrofurans were detected in the poultry from the country. Systematic inspections of poultry and poultry based products were set up as a result.
