09/08/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the European Commission confirmed that it has received a complaint from British Airways about Italy's request that several airlines increase fares above the fares charged by Italian airline Alitalia. Italy did not request authorisation for its request, explained Frederic Vincent, Commission spokesperson, because they are bilateral agreements about flights to destinations outside the EU.
