EUR 2.5 million for mine clearance operation

Brussels, 06/08/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, the European Commission announced its plan to release EUR 2.5 million in funds this week for de-mining in Cyprus. De-mining operations will first focus on the area of the buffer zone between north and south in and around Nicosia. "These funds will help to underpin the Green Line policy as regards free movement of persons and goods.
