EU considers Belarus' sports minister should be banned from Olympic Games

Brussels, 06/08/2004 (Agence Europe) - In a declaration published on Friday by the Dutch Presidency, the European Union considers that the minister for sport in Belarus, General Yuri Sivakov, should be banned from the Olympic Games which are to be held from 13 to 29 August in Athens. Greece will prohibit Mr Sivakov from attending the Olympic Games, Greek diplomatic sources told EUROPE.
