Commission approves Italian and French measures in favour of Parmalat suppliers

Brussels, 14/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission decided to approve two Italian measures in favour of the suppliers for the Parmalat group who have not been paid since the Parmalat scandal and the group's receivership. It also approved French aid in favour of certain Parmalat agricultural suppliers in France.

The first Italian measure (financed by the Region of Lombardy) provides for aid of one million euros to companies that delivered milk to the Parmalat group...
