04/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Transport/Telecommunications/Energy Council is to meet on 10 and 11 June in Luxembourg when it is expected to approve the list of full and alternate members representing the three interest groups represented on the board of administration of the European Agency responsible for network and information security. This will in principle be the only "telecommunications" point on the agenda of the meeting. We recall that the regulation establishing the Agency (OJ L No77 of 13 March 2004) provides for the Agency board to be composed of one representative per Member State, three representatives appointed by the Commission as well as three representatives without voting rights proposed by the Commission and appointed by the Council and each representing one of the following groups: - companies in the information and communication technologies sector, consumers and academic experts in network and information security.
