Commission is ready to counter-attack if Russians do not lift embargo rapidly

Brussels, 04/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - During Friday's meeting of EU Member State trade experts (Committee 133), the European Commission representative said the Commission was ready to strike back should Russian authorities be slow to put an end to suspended imports of meat and fishing products from the EU (see p.8).
