26/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - During the Forum on Dialogue between Peoples and Cultures which took place in Brussels on Tuesday, Romano Prodi repeated: we must stand firm in our fight against terrorism, which is also a fight to defend our values, but we must also develop dialogue, which "is not a proof of weakness, but a proof of strength". Every day, said the President of the European Commission, we see tragic developments unfolding in Iraq and the Middle East, which show us that "attempts to affirm common values by use of force are all in vain: common values are built solely by dialogue".
