Luxembourg, 26/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Advocate General, Antonio Tizzano, has proposed that the Court of Justice reject an appeal by the European Commission, calling for the cancellation of the Court of First Instance ruling which cancelled its then decision against the Tetra Laval/Sidel merger (EUROPE of 26 November 2002). Although the Court of First Instance committed several errors of law, the Advocate General felt that there were no grounds for rescinding the contested rulings.
