Brussels, 26/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - Commissioner Lamy has admitted that the EU has not obtained what it had wished from Moscow during the conclusion of the agreement last week on Russia's accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) (EUROPE 25 May pp 13, 14). Neither was it possible to open up the Russian market to banking and insurance products, which means that European banks and insurance companies can still not open up branches freely in Russia.
