07/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - 124 MEPs are calling for a European delegation to be despatched to Cuba to inspect the prisons where dozens of dissidents to the Castro regime are being held, AFP reports. In a letter signed by these deputies at the initiative of Italian Radical Maurizio Turco, the MEPs insist that the Council and the European Commission should send a delegation to the Cuban prisons before the end of the parliamentary legislature.
