Changes to anti-dumping

Brussels, 05/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Council of Ministers of the EU recently adopted five regulations for amending existing anti-dumping provisions. Products include imports of silicon originating in Russia; certain kinds of polyethylene terephtalate from Thailand, certain malleable cast iron tube or pipe fittings originating from Brazil, Czech Republic, Japan, the People's Republic of China, the Republic of Korea and Thailand and imports of television camera systems originating from Japan. The five regulation were published in the Official Journal of the EU No. L 127 of 29 April (pp 1-18). This edition of the OJ also looks at the text of the European Commission decision (p 37) of 26 March 2004 amending the previous antidumping decision on tube accessories and malleable cast iron tubes from the countries mentioned above and focus on the agreement on the commitment offered by a producer-exporter from the Czech Republic. There is also (p 114) a Commission decision on the agreement to the commitment offered in the framework of the antidumping procedure on imports of silicon metal from Russia.
