Brussels, 04/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - To celebrate enlargement, the 57th "Peace Race" 2004 will leave Brussels on 8 May and arrive in Prague on 16 May, passing on the way through Hanover, Hemmingen, Halberstadt, Lutherstadt Eisleben and Beierfeld in Germany, Görlitz, Wroclaw and Jelenia Goria in Poland, and Teplice and Karlovu Vara in the Czech Republic, the Czech Commissioner, Pavel Telicka, told the press on Monday 3 May in Brussels. A total of 1,579.7 km will be covered by the cyclists through Belgium, Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. For the first time, this 57th race will take place entirely within the EU.
