Strasbourg, 17/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - On 11 March the European Parliament adopted the report of Imelda Mary Read (PES, United Kingdom) on the common Council position on the draft decision on the interoperable provision of pan-European on-line administrative services to public authorities, companies and citizens (IDABC: EUROPE 21 November 2003). This second reading vote opens the ways to the definitive adoption of the Council decision. The report underlines the fact that the Council decision takes into account all the amendments of the EP in first reading and introduces changes that strengthen the original proposal. The EP adopted some minor technical amendments to clarify the text on legal implications.
