17/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - In a letter addressed to the president of the Economic and Social Committee of Spain Jaime Montalvo, the President of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) Roger Briesch expressed his solidarity, as well as that of EESC officials, to the Spanish people and civil society following the attacks of 11 March which "targeted democracy and fundamental freedoms".
