28/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European confederation of Trade Unions (ETUC), the European platform for social NGOs and the European Environmental Bureau (EEB) are organising a conference on 2 February in Dublin on the theme of "Investing in Sustainable Development". The Irish prime minister Bertie Ahern will be speaking, as well as ETUC General Secretary John Monks and EEB director John Hontelez. The director general of the social NGOs platform Simon Wilson will be presenting their manifesto on this theme. Conference participants, including the Irish minister for the environment, MEPs and Commission representatives will also be discussing the Spring Summit 2004.
