ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) privatisation

- Czech Republic: Six companies were shortlisted for 63% privatisation of the Czech petrochemicals firm, UNIPETROL. The most interesting bids were from ROYAL DUTCH/SHELL (UK, Netherlands), KMG - KAZMUNAIGAZ (Kazakhstan) and TATNEFT (Russia). The other candidates selected were PKN ORLEN (Poland), MOL (Hungary) and PENTA GROUP (Slovakia).
