ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) investment

- France/Italy: According to initial estimates by "Agence française pour les investissements internationaux" (AFII), Italy's place as third largest foreign investor in France for 2003 should be confirmed with a 16% share. According to AFII, France has a total of 400 industrial firms controlled by Italians and employing over 95,000. This figure rises to 900 Italian companies if one takes into account commercial firms and corporate services.
