Brussels, 05/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has announced that the College of Commissioners will be deciding on 7 January whether to authorise the acquisition of Editis by France's Lagardere. Lagardere has worked closely with the European Commission's competition services and Commissioner Mario Monti and given the large-scale pledges made by Lagardere, Monti is expected to recommend authorisation of the deal.
