21/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - It is likely that Italy will not be able to keep to the 31 December 2003 deadline for approving the European arrest warrant. The parliamentary budgets committee has frozen its opinion on this subject, calling on the government to present a report on costs arising from the establishment of the European arrest warrant. Also, the parliamentary plenary debate has had to be postponed until conclusion of the budgetary debate end December.
