Strasbourg, 19/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Italian Presidency is convinced that, in the final phase, even Member States that are calling, at the IGC, for major changes to be made to the European Convention will be able to "assess the common advantages (of an ambitious treaty) compared to limited and specific sacrifices", Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Roberto Antonione affirmed on Wednesday at the EP on behalf of the Presidency.
