Commission advocates EU's support of Council of Europe's revised Convention for the Protection of Animals during International Transport

Brussels, 30/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has adopted a proposal for a decision regarding the EU's signature of the recently revised European Convention for the Protection of Animals during International Transport. The new version of the 1968 convention will strengthen requirements relating to the protection of animals transported, as much in the EU as, more widely, in Europe.
