24/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission and UNIDO (United Nations Organisation for Industrial Development) signed, on Thursday, an agreement opening the way to closer collaboration between the two institutions on promotion of the private sector. This agreement clarifies and simplifies the rules of this cooperation, and will allow the Commission to go from the financing of individual projects to longer term financing.
