The French VIVENDI UNIVERSAL has sold its US entertainment activities grouped under VUE- VIVENDI UNIVERSAL ENTERTAINMENT- to NBC, a subsidiary of the American GE- GENERAL ELECTRIC. The operation provides for the merger of VUE into a new entity, NBC-UNIVERSAL, which will be 80%-owned by NBC and 20% by VUE shareholders, and will post a pro-forma turnover of 13 billion dollars.
