09/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - the European Commission has started consultation on conflict of interest prevention in the auditing sector. Conflicts can for example, arise when a financial advisor of a bank also advises the customers of the bank. The interested parties have till 30 November to provide comments on the 31 recommendations presented by the Commission.
