Parliament denounces intentions of Israel with regard to Arafat as well as all acts of terrorism

Strasbourg, 25/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - One day before the 'Quartet' meeting in New York, the Parliament to the Council and Commission discuss the situation in the Middle East, a situation which, as stated by the Liberal Group President Graham Watson, tests even the most optimist among us.

The stated intention of the Israeli government to deport Yasser Arafat and even to assassinate him, are elements of a spiral of violence that must be stopped if peace should have a chance in the Middle...
