Finnish OUTOKUMPU, specialised in non-ferrous metals, has sold its zinc and copper assets evaluated at EUR 736 million to its Swedish counterpart BOLIDEN. In exchange, the latter will sell its industrial production units and its technology marketing activities to the Finish company, which will receive the equivalent of EUR 307 million. This move will allow OUTOKUMPU to take control of 49% of BOLIDEN and BOLIDEN will take over 3% of OUTOKUMPU.
