25/08/2003 (Agence Europe) - The "Institut für Höhere Studien" (HIS) of Vienna has published a study by John Peterson in the edition no 90 of its Political Science Series. The study is on "Policy Networks", these "clusters of actors, each with an interest or stake in a given policy sector and the capacity to help determine policy success", who play a growing role in "governance". The author, Professor at the University of Glasgow, notes that governance through networks has reached maturity in the European Union, a "highly differentiated" subject in which experts play a considerable role.
