Nortel may acquire EADS stake in two subsidiaries

Brussels, 22/08/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised the Canadian group Nortel Networks Limited to take over full control of Nortel Networks Germany and Nortel Networks France, two affiliates specialised in telecommunications services. Nortel hitherto shared control with EADS, the European aerospace and defence company. The operation does not pose a competition problem and was cleared according to expedited procedure.
