Commission to resume work on Wednesday next with first meeting devoted to summer disasters and preparation of IGC

Brussels, 22/08/2003 (Agence Europe) - Swedish Prime Minister Göran Persson will be received by the European Commission President, Romano Prodi, on Tuesday 26 August, a little over two weeks from the referendum to be held on 14 September on Sweden's accession to single currency. Also on Tuesday, Vice-President Loyola de Palacio will meet German Transport Minister Manfred Stolpe.
