Brussels, 19/08/2003 (Agence Europe) - Farmers in the areas affected by drought will benefit from three new support measures:
- Advance payment of 50% of direct area payments for arable crops. Payments will be on 16 October instead of 16 November. These advance payments will be for the 2003/2004 campaign.
- 73,000 tonnes of rye, 610,000 tonnes of barley and 12,000 tonnes of sorghum will be sold by tender for the production of animal feed. The first deadline for the introduction of offers...
