European Commission adopts annual programme for Albania: 46.5 million EUR in 2003

Brussels, 15/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission on Tuesday adopted its annual programme for Albania, which will be granted 46.5 million EUR in 2003 under the CARDS programme for Community assistance for reconstruction, development and stabilisation.

The priorities of the 2003 programme will include the fight against organised crime, and economic development. For the former, 20 million EUR will be used to help establish the rule of law, by investing in infrastructure...
