03/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - Eurostat reported on Tuesday that unemployment in the Eurozone remained unchanged in April 2003 compared with March at 8.8% (8.3% in April 2002). In the EU as a whole, unemployment stood at 8.1%, compared with 8% in March 2002 and 7.6% in April 2003. The lowest unemployment levels were recorded in Luxembourg (3.5%), Austria (4.3%) and Ireland (4.6%), with the highest in Spain (11.4%).
