Portuguese Prime Minister and Commission President give almost identical vision of how tomorrow's Europe should work - One Commissioner for every Member State

Brussels, 21/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - After his visit to the Commission on Wednesday, Portuguese Prime Minister Jose Manuel Durao Barroso stressed that his government's views were almost identical to those of the College of Commissioners on the subject of tomorrow's Europe. He also pointed out that, when speaking to the Commission at its weekly meeting, he had confirmed his resolve to respect the commitments made by his country to reduce public deficit (see p.4) and expressed the concerns...
