Inter-institutional Monitoring Group on the Lamfalussy Process expresses concern at adoption of legislation before European elections

Brussels, 09/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Inter-Institutional Monitoring Group (IIMG) has published its first report on the "Lamfalussy Process". The Group, which is composed of six independent experts, two nominated by each Institution, has been asked to assess the progress made on the mechanisms whereby the Commission is responsible for adopting secondary legislation concerning the bourses, with a posteriori surveillance by the Council and Parliament.
