23/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - According to AP, after a meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Abdullah Gül, French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin affirmed that there were "several arguments" in favour of Turkey's candidature for joining the European Union, "whether strategic, economic, or relating to security or to cultural diversity".
