ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) construction

Belgian company DECEUNINCK (turnover EUR 362.2 million in 2002 with 1,800 employees), specialised in PVC carpentry, has acquired THYSSEN POLYMERu (turnover EUR 186 million in 2002 with 900 employed), a PVC extrusion unit belonging to the German group THYSSENKRUPP, for the sum of EUR 48 million, to which must be added EUR 70 million in debts.
