Presidium discusses draft articles for "EU ministry of foreign affairs" and closer cooperation in mutual defence (but open to all)

Brussels, 09/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - As we have already indicated (see EUROPE yesterday p 4 and 8 April p 4), the European Convention Presidium is set to finalise the draft articles on CFSP and ESDP on Thursday and Friday, for inclusion into both the first and second parts of the Constitutional treaty.

The Presidium will also have to work on the first part on texts involving:

1) common foreign and security policy: this draft article is expected to explain the role of the European Council...
