Brussels, 28/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Greek Presidency has decided to move the informal meeting of European Union finance ministers, scheduled for 4-6 April, to Athens from Chania (Crete). A spokesperson for the Greek Presidency, Roussos Koundouros, explained that the war in Iraq raises security concerns on holding the Ecofin meeting near Chania, Crete, because of the venue's proximity to the US naval base in Souda.
