ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banking

SANTANDER CENTRAL HISPANO has acquired an additional stake in the Japanese bank, SHINSEI, increasing its share from 4.9% to 11.4%. The bank is the largest in Spain and spent YEN 10.65 to carry out the operation.
